Common Registration Questions

How do I pre-register for Kita-Kon?

To register for Kita-Kon, create an account on our website and complete the online registration form. Once your information is entered, you will be given the choice to print a receipt to pay in-person at The GameShelf, 920 Memorial Ave; or to pay online via PayPal.

What does my badge get me?

Every badge gets you in to the event for the specified day(s) listed on it. This gives you access to the Dealer’s Room, Artist Alley, Panel Rooms, & Viewing Rooms at the convention with the exception of ticketed events. An example of a ticketed event would be a seating in our maid cafe.

Can I purchase a badge at the door?

You sure can! We offer single day badges or weekend badges during the event, but we recommend that you pre-register and save yourself some money.

Are there any age restrictions?

The convention is open to all ages. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult or guardian at all times. Children 5 and under qualify for a free child badge. While we do accept all ages at the convention, please keep in mind that most of the events hosted at Kita-Kon are aimed at an audience of 13+. Some events may also be closed to those under the age of 18.

What are badge prices at the door?

What does my money go towards?

Lakehead Anime Society is a non-profit corporation which operates solely on the fees collected on badges and through our other fundraising efforts. All of the money we receive goes towards making the convention a better experience for our attendees.

I’ve pre-registered, what now?

If you have paid for your badge online, congratulations, you are registered! If you have chosen to pay at our drop-off location, please understand that it can take up to two weeks to update your order status after receiving payment. You can check your order status on your account page. Bring ID or your printed order number to pick up your badge at the event.

I can no longer attend, can I get a refund?

We do not offer refunds, however we do offer a number of ways to transfer your badge. The first option is to sell or gift your badge to another person. Once you have found a person to transfer to, fill out the form and your registration will be transferred. The second option is to hold your badge until the next convention. This can only be done once per badge, and can not be held for multiple years. We reserve the right to stop transfers if we suspect anything to be illegitimate. Badge transfer form.
